xslt transforming complexType

Hi All,

I am trying to come up with a solution for transforming a complex type ie

xml ...

<document>
<label>
This is a <highlight> string</highlight>
</label>
</document>

<xsl:stylesheet>
<xsl:template match="/">
<xsl:for-each select="/document/label" >
<xsl:choose>
<xsl:when test="isHighlight($chunk)" >
<span class="highlight" ><xsl:value-of select="$chunk" /></span>
</xsl:when>
<xsl:otherwise>
<xsl:value-of select="$chunk" />
</xsl:otherwise>
</xsl:choose>
</xsl:for-each>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

Where $chunck is either a xsd:string or a node. Is there any way with xslt to do this?

I suggest using xsl:apply-templates like so:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <xsl:stylesheet>
  2.       <xsl:template match="/">
  3.     <xsl:for-each select="/document/label" >
  4.              <xsl:apply-templates/>
  5.                 </xsl:for-each>
  6.      </xsl:template>
  7.     <xsl:template match="highlight">
  8.         <span class="highlight" ><xsl:apply-templates/></span>
  9.     </xsl:template>
  10. </xsl:stylesheet>
