XPath query to paginate a xml

Hi, i have the following XML
<devices>
<device id="XXX">
<name>
....
</name>
</device>
</devices>

There are like 1000 devices, I need the Xpath instruction to "paginate" the jtable where i show the devices.

For example, give me the devices from 1.. to 20, from 20 to 40, etc...

Any help please? Sorry my english!!
Thaxs,
Alex

Are you using XSLT?
To get the device at the start of every page, you'd use path:
"device[position() mod 20 = 1]"

To get the other 19 devices on the 'page':
following-sibling::device[position() &lt; 20]
