Mixed Content (?) document

Hi All,
I'm a total newbie to XML, but I do have a cursory understanding of creating well-formed XML docs. I have a document that is HTML right now. I want to be able to distribute this info to a number of our partners and have us retain all of the info/copy/images on our servers. I know I can give our partners an <iframe> but how could I use XML to make the process not so cheesy and be more robust?

I did think about creating a data island, but I know [I think] that only works with repeatable data. I also thought about an RSS feed, but that only allows one description field per item.

I did get "XML in a Nutshell" and "XML for Dummies", but I just can't seem to figure out how do do this :( If anyone could just point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
