help with xsl:if

I saw example of xsl:if and I want to use it.
I know that > is greater than. Is there one for equals to, I try &eq; and it does not recognize it. Where can I get a list for this?

Also, I have the following:

<xsl:variable name="oldID" select="oldid"/>

<xsl:variable name="currID" select="id"/>
<xsl:choose>
<xsl:when test="$currID != $oldID">>

but the test does not give me desired result. Am I missing something? This will work with the >

Thanks.

Welcome to TheScripts TSDN....

The code looks fine.
For "=" it's not required a symbol.
A list of symbols is here.

For more help please post more XSL code that can be tested, and XML too.

Dorin.
