xml works locally but not on server

2
I'm puzzeled. Last week I noticed that the slideshow on my site no longer works. www.annestahl.com I tried to fix it, but due to time restraints had to leave it. Then I noticed that my rss feed is down. Both are using xml files and after spending some more time on it, I realize that the slideshow does work - locally. and it loads the flash image, but it does not load the images files from the xml data. The feed is just plain down.

So, I contacted my hosting company and they insist that xml has nothing to do with the server. That this is a coding issue. Only I made NO CHANGES to the files and they worked well before last week.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

http://www.annestahl.com/feed.xml - gets a 500 error...

cheers,
Anne

Oh. I changed some settings on my server. I had a few things enabled to use a contact form, cgi, perl, etc. I removed all these and bingo it's working again.
I'm not removing my initial post, but instead am 'answering' my own question, so that it may serve as a reference for the future.
