Xml merging , updating

My xml file = 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 (clients)

Im merging 2 datasets with identical structures.Im trying to work with .GetChanges but this is not working properly so im trying to let XML remove the duplicates.Im currently using loops to remove the duplicates, running through the xml for every new client

How can i do this knowing that im programming in VB.net , so im using DOM -XML

And i also should be able to look for updates instead of just new clients

I hope im being somewhat clear about my problem or else im able to post the entire xml file.

Ok,
I understand, the best solution is to use XSL.
If need more details about XSL, see this short tutorial, you need about 15 minutes.

It seems that you use 2 XML files and get the result in a 3rd XML.
So you need a merge/concat method, with some update.
For the moment I only can point you to some links.
See if
Merge two files or
Merging XML Documents help.

Other method, is to use 2 XMLDocument objects, loop through the nodes and compare/update the 3rd XMLDocument (final result).

I forgot to mention im using the compact framework to develop in. And ive looked through the forum and someone was programming with CF , and couldnt get XSL to work.

Ok, I see.
If you don't succeed to use XSL, then the last mentioned method could be the single solution (if you have XMLDocument class in CompactFramework)
