Importing an XML Schema

Hi, I am new to XSD and cannot find how to do the following.

I have two XML Schemas (declaring two vocabularies) and I want to import one complex type from one to the other. That complex type has several elements but I only want to import that complex type with only some of those elements. In addition, I want to add a restriction (to add the fixed attribute) to one of those imported elements.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks
