Reading xml comments while parsing

5
Hi,
I am working on data binding in java. I have dtd,mapping and xml file.

the startin of my xml file is as follows:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<!--
Document : text.xml
Created on : June 20, 2005, 8:05 AM
Description:
This document defines the options for the test component of
software version 4.2.
-->

The comment tag shown above is the concern. I have an editor to edit the xml file. After editing the value via editor, while press the save button, the comment above disappears. So any one can help me, how I read the comments and keep as it is in the xml file?

Or is there any ways to read and write the comments via parser?
I am using castor and xeres api's to parse the xml.

Thanks.
