Hi, i'm currently working on a project that uses java and mysql database. can someone give me code & tutorial on how can i make java (using netbeans) read an xml file that contains the fields of the database in mysql. the goal of the project is to give flexibility to the database used by my system. it's a customer registration system that will allow customer's pick a particular field ex: name, address, ssn, etc. you see not all customer's have driver's license therefore, customer can replace this with ssn number... retrieving the file from the database contains different customer information fields provided by xml code...the table actually contains all of these fields. its just that, i need xml to limit the field retrieval. i'm really in trouble if i'll not be able to do this thing.... can somebody help me with this one? i will really appreciate any help. THANKS IN ADVANCE !
