Hi everyone,

Am trying to update the system variable Path by adding a string to the already existing value using a .reg file.
I've been searching every where but in vein. If you have any idea please help.

thank you.

I don't believe .reg files have scripting capabilities. You will need to use a scripting language to read the current value, append the string you want, and write it back to the registry. Let us know which scripting language you want to use and I can move your question to that forum.

If by adding a system variable, you mean adding a new key to the registry, that is not the same as scripting.

We don't have a .bat forum so I will leave the thread here and hopefully someone that was done that will be able to answer your question.
