Echo in laptop speakers

Four days ago my laptop speakers suddenly started echoing back whenever I played something. However, when I use earphones, the sound is clear. Any ideas on how to fix it? I've tried adjusting the settings in the control panel but it's not helped. I have HP Pavilion dm3 and Windows 7.

Sounds like your microphone is feeding back into the speaker. Disable it if you don't use it or turn off the feedback loop.
