Why can my computer not open some of my old MSN histories from my memory stick?

I try opening it normally and it goes to Internet Explorer which says

But I know the files are there and exist because it can be opened in wordpad, but obviously its so jumbled I cant read it effectivly. Any idea how I can solve this?
