"A usb is malfunctioned and exceeded the power limit of its hub ports"

i have installed windows xp sp2 and a problem is arising that "A usb is malfunctioned and exceeded the power limit of its hub ports".

i reset it but it doesn't fix, what i do for it, please help me

Hi there!

I've never experienced this problem myself, but from what I found when searching online it may just be a problem with missing or incorrectly installed drivers. Try (re)installing the USB drivers for your motherboard and see if that changes anything. If it doesn't, it would be great if you could tell us a bit more about your computer - if it's a brand name system, what model and make is it? And did you have the problem before the installation of XP SP2? (Or didn't you have it running before?)
