actually x86 merely means it's a 32-bit operating system. Developers are finally moving more towards 64-bit software (x64) so it would be better to install the x64 version if you can. It is also noteworthy that 32-bit applications will more than likely still run on a 64-bit operating system, but not 64-bit apps on a 32-bit operating system.

Be sure to remember that you have a 64-bit or a 32-bit operating system since drivers and certain bits of software depend on this information.

EDIT: The reason I say x86 and x64 aren't exclusive to Intel or AMD is because there are other companies that make processors out there and there are only those two standards. The companies just aren't as reputable as the aforementioned two.

Given int x; What does x evaluate to? If x is 0, it equals 0x31, the ascii value of '1'. So for some reason, x evaluates to *(y+x) where x is a non pointer/array type.
