I am not sure Active Directory and LDAP are same, can I download some examples (open souirce package) for Active Directory / LDAP to install on windows and try?. Thanks in advance.

Active Directory and LDAP are not the same. If you have Windows Server you can add Active Directory services to your install easily. If you want to also run an LDAP server you can read up on it at this location: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc750824.aspx or try google for something like OpenLDAP.
