Porting windows code to Linux - some tips?

Lot of Windows code (dll) need to port to Linux, can somebody gives some clues, what to takecare mainly.

not sure whether similar cals available in Linux:
1) LoadLibrary.

Well seeing that you have now posted 3 questions about this under the windows forum let me tell you, you will probably have better luck under some of the coding forums more specifically c/c++.
