How to fix hard disk error in windows xp sp2?

I have os windows xp sp2. When i boot the system, gives message 'error hard disk', if i continously restart the system windows gets loaded & so when i done chkdsk from cmd prompt it gives error found. How can i fix the error of hard disk.

Try to partition the drive and reinstall windows, this will hopfully avoid the bad sector if you have one. The other real piece of advice is consider getting a new hard drive.
