Outlook auto-discover domain problem

When I start Outlook up for the first time after a fresh re-imaging of the hard drive, auto-discover tries to locate an account with the domain name 'user' rather than the domain name of the person logged in. Has anyone else encountered this problem or know what may be causing it?

There was a default profile in place. All I had to do was get rid of that and it at least prompts for a profile and loads the correct one. I would like it to do it automatically without prompts, so if anyone knows how to get it doing that, I'd appreciate the insight.
