Hello everyone,
I don't know if this is really a question as me asking for any insights. When I bootup my computer, it POSTs fine, but hangs at a black screen for 3 minutes prior to the XP Loading Screen. I've troubleshooted it and determined that the solution to this is either:
1) Plug a PS/2 keyboard in, and make sure the USB mouse (Logitech G5) and the USB Keyboard (Saitek Eclipse) are not on the same pair of slots (ie: one is on the USB bracket, and the other is on the main pair on the motherboard).
2) Force windows to "Start Windows Normally", but force shutting it down during a hang and pressing the enter key when prompted... that or hit F5, though it doesn't prompt like it should
I would expect that this is either a driver issue, a power supply issue, or a BIOS glitch. The drivers don't make sense, as I am just using the default USB Keyboard drivers that came with it, and the G5 is using Logitech's driver off of the CD. The powersupply is a 500w Thermaltake, and the motherboard is an MSI K8N Neo4 Diamond (With an Athlon 4000+). The installation is new, though this glitch occurred before the reinstall. I used to not have to deal with it though, as I was dual booting with GRUB (which forced me to hit Enter to load XP).
Thanks for the help everyone!
