Hello,
@fndofu
If the program that protected folder is a good program then you need the original password to unlock it's contents.

I h'v heard that using some simple commands v can easily unprotect the folders that are protected using Softwares..........Anyone new this???...Please Help....
That's an absolute false statement. Although if the locking program was not good then this can be done. And then even if it can be done still different programs use different approaches to lock/hide a folder and protect it's contents and so forget about assertions like "using some simple commands we can easily unprotect the folders that are protected using Softwares".

You can try contacting the author of the program and request him to unlock the folder for you. But then (I assume) he will not do this if he is in right state of his mind.

Hope this helps....

I guess that depends on how the file was hidden - it might be something done to the explorer. In that case, you should be able to see it in command line. Try this in command line (start it with Start -> Run -> cmd):
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. D:
  2. dir
If that lists the directory "new", then you're in luck and we might be able to help. If it doesn't, you can still try viewing it with a Linux Live CD (like Knoppix). That probably won't solve the complete problem, but maybe it can help.

Also, what program did you use? Maybe some other program can unlock your file instead (although I wouldn't bet on it).

I must say that even though this could be a legit request, but providing any method in doing so may be misused and this topic is probably against the forum rules. You could try and do specific research for the program used to protect the file and see if there is a method for recovery. Google and other forums (security/encryption oriented) could probably help out a little more.
