Which antivirus is better to network?

8
At work we have 3 servers running Windows Server 2003 and about 25 clients that run XP Pro. Right now we are using McAfee Active Virus Defense Enterprise. Our computer tech consultant has suggested that we go with Sophos Security Suite SBE. Are you familiar with Sophos? Which one do you suggest? Thanks for your input!

some time ago we had sophos which was replaced by mcaffee later on ... i don't know the real reason ... but personally i loved sophos ... which was quite fast and reliable without using much resources of the machines ... the worst experience i ever had was with norton ... but i wouldn't say that there is a general issue with it ... because at the office they currently use it and it seems fine ... but sophos always convinced me even when there was a new version ... while the others had good and bad ones over the time ... and just made problems from time to time ...

kind regards

Thanks for the info. Do you know much about McAfee? There is about $1000 difference in the renewal price with McAfee being cheaper. We have had a few network issues with the McAfee but nothing that couldn't be fixed.

Thanks!

i think that was one of the reasons for the switch that i mentioned :) ... it was at our university where we never had enough 'monetary resources' ... :) as far as i remember the admins never had a big problem with it but they had some that they didn't had before ... and the performance of my networked machine was a bit worse then ... i think its a matter of what is more important compared to the price ...

kind regards
