how often i have to update my pc?
That depends on you. I mean to say that it depends on how aware you are for security of your PC data + how much internet do you use on your PC + ..................(the list is endless).
But if you talk about expert's opinion (By the way I'm not an expert but I know what experts prefer), then you should turn on Automatic Windows Update for your PC. And should update as frequently as possible.
how do i check my pc, when it is updated and what r all the thing have updated?
For more information about this, Type "Automatic updates" (without quotes) in [Help and support center] and then search for something like "Automatic updates: Frequently Asked Questions" in left pane of [Help and Support Center]
if i use windows SP3 in my Win xp SP2 pc, what will happen?
SPx means "Service Pack x" (where x is a number). According to Wikipedia-"Microsoft occasionally releases service packs for its Windows operating systems to fix problems and add features. Each service pack is a superset of all previous service packs and patches so that only the latest service pack needs to be installed, and also includes new revisions. Older patches need not be removed before application of the most recent one.".
If you install SP3 on your Pc then all the latest updates (till release of SP3 you have) will be automatically installed on your PC with SP3. It is recommended to install SP3 if you can.
