At work (with restricted permissions) ... I share a desk with another person.
I have a USB hub that both of us hook our headphones up to.
The problem is, that sound doesn't go to both headphones at the same time. I'm assuming it's because the headphones are from two different companies, and therefore have two different drivers that can't run at the same time. I don't know, but that's my assuption.
Now it's not nessisary perse that both headphones run at the same time, but it is annoying that each of us has to unplug both head phones, replug our headset into the hub and start music or something .... in order to get sound to that headset. It's pretty annoying to have to do this on a daily basis.
Is there any way we can leave both headsets plugged into the USB hub and our headsets still work without all the unplugging/plugging in hassles described above?
Even if it involves system modifications, our IT guys are pretty nice and unless it's more complicated than it's worth they will usually help us out.

I'm sorry but, i don't know of any headsets that only plug into the USB. I know some headsets pull power from the USB port, but you still need to connected them into the sound card (I believe its a 1/8 mini connection). If I am wrong in this please give me the model number of the headsets. If you want to use 2 headsets at the same time and you have the standard connection off the back of the computer (1/8" mini) you can try to use a splitter like the one seen here. You can pick them up at your radio shack or some other local electronics store. I have never herd of anyone using them on computers so i don't know if it will work, but i have used them for devices like cd players and those portable game systems (gameboy, PSP, ect).

They are both USB
