Hi,
I tried to install XP on a Pre-loaded VISTA system and it is showing no Hard Drive attached, where as the same system is running in VISTA without any trouble.
Now I want to format a vista loaded system and install XP. How can I do that.
Please help
Could that harddrive be a SATA-drive? If so, you'll have to download the SATA-drivers for your mainboard, probably create a floppy disk or similar containing these (I know, hardly anyone uses Floppies these days, but ther you go...) and use them while the installation of Windows XP. Just search the web for keywords like "windows xp sata".
Of course, if you don't have a floppy drive (or a floppy disk for that matter), you still can install XP, it's just a bit more complicated... Search for "nLite" in that case and create a Win XP Installation CD including the drivers mentioned before.
Greetings,
