program windows position

Hello, I'm new to the forum and I definitely would hang around on here more in the future! I never knew the existence of this site!

anyways, I have a question about windows, and wondering whether if this is possible:

I just bought a video card that has dual monitor output. What kinda bothers me is that, one of my monitor is my TV that I play games on. If I have a game on my TV screen and using the second monitor only for the computer, a lot of times, programs (firefox, and others) will be opened up on the TV screen instead, which I was in a different channel so I have to change it back in order to drag it over....

my question is that, can I make two shortcuts on the left and right screen, passing in whatever arguments to command the opening position of my programs? (perhaps x,y coordinates?)

programs usually open up on your primary screen (1) and if you set it up so 1 is your TV then theres everything will open, but are your icons and everything are on the desktop monitor?

what video card are you using (manufacturer and model)?

yeah I played around with setting the primary monitor, however, it seems like sometimes (and this isn't consistant) firefox depends on the last position before the window is being closed. I was wondering if I can control that, or perhaps writting a quick Visual Basic program that will allow me to control that?

My video card is eVGA GeForce 7600GT

Thanks!
