So I find my self asken for some help here... I just got a new MB PF88 Extreme Hybrid... Not the best by no means however its the only MB I could find 2 replace my old blown one..

4 gigs DDR2
P4 LGA-775
2) 250 gig HDD's on RAID

My issue is the following

Once I boot this thing up I configured my BIO's the way I want em then I went and put XP Pro in... Loads up no issue see the HDD's I then formated NTFS (QUICK) after that it does the restart... after the booting it shows the XP logo with the loading bar... THEN the screen goes black and does NOTHING

I even let it sit for a full hour! and nothing just black screen

When it should be in XP set up installing...

any ideas??

Thanks

probabally not any hardware issues... (unless you screwed up in the installation of the hardware)

i say you try re-installing XP again and see if it works......
just a :similar: problem occurred to my comp too.... it was a install failure.

when formatting a drive it is always better to do a full instead of a quick.

I am not 100% sure what is wrong with that computer with the new HDD however I took its HDD's and loaded XP up on my computer and then took the HDD back and it loaded XP... It just wouldn’t install it.

Reason for this maybe the following.

All the hardware is from HP... The MB is a new generic MB due to the old HP MB blew out.

I think HP hardware is stamped with an image on them... Not sure but I never have fun with brand name computers.
