Using a pc and a fax machine to send faxes???

I've heard that it is possible to send a fax from your pc via a regular fax machine. Is it true? How would that work though?
Just wondering.

Wondering as well, i know XP comes with an option to use a pc to send faxes, i have used it before, but that was with "dial up." Can this be done using "DSL?"

If the Fax machine has a computer interface, a driver for it might be available. Such a thing would be brand/model specific if it exists.

Printers and Faxes on your Control Panel Will ask for your installation (XP) disk if you skipped Fax software install in the original installation. I've never used it (that's how I know the above) but it ought to be straight forward. From the software's point of view, a connection is a connection, no matter what the underlying technology is.
