sent to desktop option on mouse right click

hi,
recently i re-installed my OS(win xp) and the "send to -> desktop" option on mouse right click is not available. what could be the cause for this problem. can any one help me in fixing this problem.

C:\Documents and Settings\<account>\SendTo

if there is no desktop link there then go onto another computer and go to the same location and copy the link and paste it in your computer.

hi epots,

unfortunately ur solution has not helped me.... my problem is when i right click on any files inside a folder in the popup menu which appears under sendto-->desktop(create shortcut) option is missing. how can i add it.

like i said grab it from another computer and place it in that folder then it will appear again when you right click, some1 else had the same problem and this is how it was fixed.

type shell:sendto and you can add whatever shortcut you want.
