Cannot print from mapped printer on windows 2003 server

Hello Guys

I cannot print from a locally installed printer that is mapped to a windows 2003 sever.

I have installed the printer locally and can print locally. I connect to the windows 2003 server by using remote desktop connection. i have checked the printer checkbox under local resources, so that it maps the printer when i connect.

I can also see the printer on my printer list when i am logged on to the windows 2003 server, but when i print to the printer nothing happens.

I have the printer driver installed both locally and on the windows 2003 server....

Does anyone have an idea to what is wrong......???????

is it just that printer or any printer connected to the server? I'm thinking it a security issue that has to be adjusted.

it is any printer connected to the server.
it is a security issue, you have to setup your firewall to allow these types of connections.
