IeXplore.exe Application Error

Hello

Can someone please help?

Thanks

Question: I just reinstall my System --> XP Service Pack 2.
When I connect to my ISP and then sign on to my e-mail I receive the following error.

Application Error: The instruction at "0x7c9106c3" Referenced Memory at "0x7e1ed932". The memory could not be "written".

Can you Please inform me what is causing this?
And how to I fix it?

You may need to install
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or
Adobe Flash or
some other extension.

Your ISP's tech support may be a better resource for you.

It might be some toolbar (e.g. Google Toolbar, ICQ Toolbar,...), so try deinstalling them.
Otherwise, you can try the following at your own risk:
  1. Open a console (Start -> Run -> CMD)
  2. Change the directory to C: by typing cd .. and pressing Enter a few times
  3. Change the rights you have for boot.ini by typing attrib -r -h -s boot.ini
  4. Edit the boot.ini file by typing edit.boot ini (and Enter). A blue editing screen should come up
  5. Find the entry NOEXECUTE. It should be set to OPTIN or OPTOUT. Replace the setting with AlwaysOff
  6. File -> Exit -> Yes (save)
  7. In the console, change the rights back to what they were with attrib +r +h +s boot.ini
  8. Reboot the System.
After this, that sort of Error should not appear again.
