Change HardDisk from 40 to 80

Dear Readers,
I have hard disk of capacity 40gb in my pc.
ITs is very slow.
Can i change it into 80GB
If yes How is it possible?
What r the steps to change it?
Please Advice

what does u mean by change it? buying a new 80GB harddrive and installing it as a master or slave?

You are correct (sort of): New drives are almost always faster than older ones, so installing a bigger drive will usually produce a performance boost by virtue of latest technology.

If it's a problem with the speed on your drive, why don't you then just try to run scans for virus and other malicious files?

I did that on my own machine, and it really did improve a lot.

Also try deleting some of the files that you have no need of anymore...
