Upload files and download files

I have 2 PC in 2 different geographic locations in the world.
How do I connect the? (How do I share files between them)
Do I use FTP?

Also, what is a free way of doing it?

u can set up an FTP server for free, install IIS.

here is a guide on how to set that up
