Weird cursor problem

When i start up my computer and it goes to the welcome screen the cursor is stuck to the right side of the screen, i cant move it anywhere except up and down, does anyone know how i can fix this or whats causing it will be of great help, thanks.

I've seen it happen when my keyboard was unplugged. It could also be a dead mouse. If you can, swap keyboard and/or mouse with a working system. Reboot several time each time you change the hardware in case the new hardware gets installed but not started.
