Excel Issue

123 100+
I Know this isn't for excel, but its a windows program. I have an excel work book that runs a query from a db. However, when ever I open the workbook a very annoying box comes up asking do I want to enable automatic refresh or disable automatic refresh.

I've hit one, but once I save and shut the book and then reopen it, it ask me again.

How do I get rid of this box for good?

Thanks.

Its excel 2003, and when I open the book I get a query refresh box.

The box gives me two options to either disable or enable. I hit one, yet when I save/close and then reopen the doc, It appears again.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

ok, i don't have access to an excel 2003 (only 2002 and 2007) but if its like 2002 then u would have to do:
  • This option is for the current user only, and affects every workbook opened. Other users of the workbook are not affected. This option also affects links to other programs.
  • On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Edit tab.
  • Clear the Ask to update automatic links check box. If the box is cleared, the links are automatically updated, and no prompt is displayed.

tell me how its goes.

good luck
