I have laptop through which am able to connect to the tataindicom broadband. But when i use the same laptop to connect to dataone broadband, am not able to view the webpages. when i connect the modem in dataone, the lappie is able to recoginse that a connection has been established. It was even able to send and receive packets of data, but still.. am not able to view the webpage.
P.S : i have a static ip in tataindicom...could this be a problem..because.. i doubt if any of my setting has been changed because of that... could you please help me asap

When switching modems (or even routers, sometimes) you'll always want to run the Network Setup Wizard. That little guy will run around an make sure most of the setting that you need are set correctly. It's no big deal (takes about 45 seconds), if you plan on switching back and forth, for some reason.

Check your DNS server IP address, DSN server IP address might differ for each Internet Service Provider (ISP). Good luck & Take care.

Hi,
Please check if the static IP given by tataindicom is fixed/forced on ur laptop. You will find it on TCP/IP properties... to use ur dataone, u shud use dynamically select IP address...
