OLE Bound Object Error in Access

thisisntwally
I've seen this question asked a few times around the forums, but it never seems to get a satisfactory answer.

In an Access database with bound objects (pdf's in specific here) after I open the embedded file (no problem yet) when i close the document I get the error:

the operation on the Acrobat Document object failed
The OLE server may not be registered
To register the OLE server reinstall it

rumor has it this is a communication problem between access, which i've heard doesn't actually open embedded objects, and Acrobat. Anyhoo, the guys over in the access forum sent someone over here (it doesn't seem like they ever did) so i thought I'd run it by you guys. (the 'it' department in the office looked rather blank when i mentioned it - as such I've opted to run this by the real experts)

Hi. This is the windows Forum in the System Administration category. For a particular programming environment (.NET?), see the "Forums" tab above, left side, "languages". Thanks for joining.
