Problems Installing Adobe CS3 Web Premium

Hey guys,
I having a bit of a problem with Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium...
I install it once..everything got installed...and worked fine but then on program in the suite didn't work out too good so I decided to uninstall everything.
Now that I knew exactly what to do,
I decided to reinstall, but this has happened 3 times already, where it just stops installing and gives me an error that just says "installation error"
and then I have to exit out
I currently have Windows Vista Business as my OS
this last time I uninstalled and then went to regedit..found anything linked with adobe and deleted it...tried to install again...nothing..same error...
so now I'm stuck and now sure to do
any help would be appreciated

ya adobe only allows for one time registration.

what happened to me was when i uninstalled my version photoshop cs2 it asked if i wanted to transfer the registration, cuz u can't do it again (XP Pro), but i didn't care since i upgraded to cs3.

what u have to do is contact adobe, best choice would be through phone, and explain what happened and they should reissue u a new cd key, or another way to register.

^^hmmm..Yeah I figured
is there any sort of tool that lets you absoloutley and internally remove Adobe products, that way you can reinstall it again properly?
because it never gives me an error about registration or product key...the installation just kind of stops and says "error" fails and then I have to leave..the only thing that the setup says actuallly install is the "shared components" and thats all
the first time i re-installed I believe it put in the shared components and acrobat professional...but I remember it didn't work because it wanted other adobe products on there

so if any of you guys know of any tools that adobe offers for this removal that would be great...
either way I'm going to give their tech support a call today.

i pretty sure it has nothing to do with some left over files, cuz when u try and register the key u enter has already been used (when it checks against their database) so it think its an illegal copy, so it stops.

calling them will be your best bet, since its toll free its not that be of a deal.

good luck

It may be possible to remove all references to that Adobe installation from the registry. It's a risky proposition, doing in by hand (I've done similar things and sweat the whole time, and prayed a lot). Automated solutions may not be thorough enough (or too thorough in other areas).

I just got Advanced WindowsCare v2. It's a good product, but it seems that I wasn't selective enough (on the third pass) and now have some missing registry key to do with HKCU/menuorder/.

Any way you go, messing with the registry is risky, but could likely be the way to erase the fact that the software was ever installed in the first place.

Adobe provides a program called wincs3clean that should clean all traces from your registry. The trick is that when you run it, it asks you what level you want to run at 1 or 2. You actually want to run it at one of the "secret" levels - type in 3 (if you want to preserve your acrobat) or 4 if you want to get all adobe files off your machine. Run the entire thing at least 3 times - until no more files are identified.

Thanks moppet. That's great info.

Does anybody have a good download link? All the links that I found require Torrent.

I actually have downloaded this already:
and for those of you having similar problems...to try to get rid of EVERYTHING..you need to run the script on level "3" or "4"

its not listed on the script it tells gou only level 1 or 2 but 3 and 4 are there.
I believe 3 cleans most things up and level 4 gets rid of everything adobe

well I tried running level 4 and nothing still having installion issues...the csript says I still have C:\ Program Files\Common Files\Adobe
I need to get rid of this folder...but nothing is working and it is saying access denied
I have windows vista business edition and its driving me crazy because I cannot delete this folder!!!..I've veen doing some research and delet the files in that folder are important for the re-installation
cany anyone give me tips or directions on how to do this?
I even ran task manager, ended explorer.exe
and tried to delete through the command prompt, but nothing
any ideas??

even though you may have an admin account, vista doesn't care. to delete the folder, rightclick it, then go on the option "run as administrator", then click delete.

does that work?

Hmm I'm not currently at home and I'm not sure if that will work because I think ( I could be weong) that run as administrator works if your opening a file such as exe.etc...
because if you are opening a folder you don't exactly "run" it so i'll have to double check...
yeah Vista can piss me off with that administrator crap
but yeah I do need to delete this folder, someone told me something about right clicking the folder and giving "full control" to yourself under properties advanced tab..I tried doing something like that (because I wasn't given the best directions) ..and it still said I was denied,,
