hi all. new guy on site not sure what to do so ill ask away. got problem on dell3100. at start up get massage floppy disc failure press f1 to continue or f2 forset up. pressed f1 got full sytem but no sound when try to play music or sound massage comes back no sound devices. can anyone please help

Welcome to The Scripts. It sounds like you have two problems, one with your floppy disk, and one with your sound card. I would suggest ripping your floppy drive out of the machine all together; 3.5" drives are almost entirely antiquated these days.
Then you should get online and do a Google search for your sound card, or visit the vendor's website if it is available. Download and install your sound card drivers and then let us know if there are any more problems.
