laptop too slow

hi
one laptop in my office is getting slower and slower,
i did

anit virus scanning
check disk
created free space in c:
defragmented
deleted temp files

remaining what i have to do to "zoom" laptop

actually what are the main reasons to get slow, please step by step

is it possible to upgrade the laptop with more ram? you also might want to check your system properties screen to make sure all your ram is still being detected. Good luck. Might want to start shopping for a cheap newer laptop.
