Folder not accessible (permissions??)

Hello people!

I've removed my hd and placed a new one.

I've put back the old one as slave (intending to keep it as slave), but when trying to enter my E:\docs&sets\username folder to get back my already existing data, I get: "Access not allowed".

I've done it before, and had no problem.

Note that i've been using a password to enter windows, and i don't remember if a password existed last time i did it.
Also note that it is impossible to put it back as master and make it password free, as i had blue screens that wouldn't let windows boot.

Thank you all.

It's likely that the reason it stopped booting and the reason you can't access data are the same (I'm guessing bad sectors).

try booting into safe mode, logging in as administrator, and accessing the folder that way.
