What happened to Character map in WinXP?

Hello friends!

I was snooping 'round my machine a few days ago and I noticed Character Map is gone: All Programs - Accessories - System Tools. I have it on my desktop as a shortcut (thank heavens), can get to it that way, but it's not it the list of programs. I am almost certain, and this an uneducated guess, that it vanished after loading IE7. I added it on my desktop during the IE6 era...

Any ideas!

Yes, it is helpful, much appreciated. Are you able to locate Character map in your System tools?

Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools:

Yep, it's there (I'm also using IE7 [doesn't seem like that would cause your trouble])

You can copy that shortcut off your desktop to the Start folder.

Outstanding, what didn't I think of this before? Geez! One truly never thinks of the obvious, bartonc. We can consider this matter resolved:-)

Many thanks!
