Windows Installer Problem

1
Hi everyone, I am running windows XP SP2 on an Intel 1.8GHz system, suddenly it became impossible for me to install anything (ANYTHING!). When I try installing some softwares it complaints of different things mainly referring to the Windows Installer. I formatted the whole partition and set it up a fresh but the problem is yet to be resolved. I'll appreciate your urgent HELP!
thanks

I've never heard of such a thing on a fresh system. I can only suggest Installer 3.1 available here.

Ahamedulla jainudeen where in the world did you find Windows XP service pack 3?

Did windows installer 3.1 solve the problem? If not, based on the clean install and all updates that I assume you performed your problem is in your hardware - start by changing the ram and checking cpu/motherboard temperatures.
