Executing external programs...

Ok,

So I got this idea that I should write a simple script for my mom (technologically challenged) that when she clicked it would run a few programs (anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.) and then shut down the computer. Any suggestions on languages?

Type help at the command prompt

Use the shutdown command to shut down
