MS SQL Server 2000

Dear Members:
This is my first installation of MS SQL Server 2k on the MS Server 2000 operating system successfully. Problems begin with the installation of the MSDE 2000 Release A showing that the instance is invalid. Please help.

Did you install all the service packs, I think SP 3 is the latest? I've never had this problem before

1. Check Media
2. Permissions
3. Do the Service packs like Aric said

Go to event log and see what the code for the error is and get back to us.

Cyber.
