Hi there,

Did you install / remove any application software recently? Take care.

We ask that people not "double post" (start a new thread - for some reason - with the same question as a thread that you have already started). Thanks for taking note of this. If you are feeling impatient, you can bump your own thread to the top by replying to it. Thanks again. I'm sure that someone will come along with something helpful soon.

This is an easy fixer!

but you will need to find a copy of msconfig files from winxp and run them, if you want e-mail me and I will send you a copy, works like a charm with win2k =)

you can also use this freeware! http://www.programsdb.com/program/63...g_Cleanup.html

Let me know if you need help doing this, just run it and go to Startup tab there you can uncheck you error from starting up with windows!

Thanks for your help!!! I did not yet run the msconfig-cleanup-setup software. If you are not sure that this software can solve the problem, then you can send me by email a copy of msconfig files for WINDOWS 2000.
My personal email is ******** (Please don't reveal your e-mail address or you will be targeted by spammers) Use the PM feature or E-mail Feature in the Control Panel, thanks!)

Your are great!!!!!!

Dear Friend,

I have already run the msconfig.exe, then I didn't find which program should be selected in order to block the error.

The problem continues.

Please If you don't mine , give me the steps that I have to follow after running msconfig.exe

Regards

When you run msconfig go to Startup Tab on the far right and you will see a list of programs that start with windows, try and find the C:\winnt\system32\1.tmp and uncheck it and hit apply.

If were you I would also uncheck any other programs that you don't want to start up or the ones that looks suspicious. Also in the services tab hit Hide all microsoft services and uncheck any services that are unnecessary Hit Apply and restart your PC =)

Let me know if you got it.
