File retrieval after re insatllation of windows.

Good Morning,

I hope some one can help me out with a problem of mine, i have recently suffered a virus to my PC which disabled all functions other than to re install Windows and start a fresh, unfortunately I had all my wedding photos on the hard drive and no back up, is it possible to retrieve these files myself or am I best taking my PC to a specialist?

Many Thanks

Dan

It is possible if you simply reinstalled windows without actually formatting your hard drive. So if you just reinstalled windows directory without formatting then go to c:\documents and settings\your profile name (username that you used to have before reinstall)\my documents\my pictures

Good Luck. (also, if its says access denied when trying to open those folders then you had them on private and that can be accessed to, just let me know.
