server accessing problem

when i open my program from client ,taking more time for loading and some time data source is not founding.if i wil change to server firewall off mode then it will work bu getting slow.

I am using windows 2008 r2 server,sql server 2005,client is xp sp3 .i installed active directory and dhcp

If you are trying to connect to sql if this is your data source it is possible the firewall is blocking the sql ports. google the port numbers for sql or the app you are trying to connect to and open the ports on your firewall
