Hi. I currently have an ecommerce website, and was created on Wordpress.com. However, it does not have the application that allows me to add pluggins to the site so that i can dropship etc.

My question is: What is the difference betweeen the two, what do i need to do if the .org is needed and am i able to safely transfer all filed from one wordpress to another?

WordPress CMS is free and open-source. It can be downloaded and hosted on custom hosting for free with complete functionalities available. WordPress.com runs the free cms on top of it and combines it with domain+hosting+ssl certificate+other things with limited functionalities according to the plans; easy to get started for those who don't wanna get into the custom setup and configuration stuff.

The main difference between the two is whos hosting your website.
When you are using WordPress.org, you are hosting your site yourself.
However, when using WordPress.com, its WordPress.com that takes the responsibility of all of this for you.
