how to change web page size or resolution

P: 6
I'm new to web designing. I used visual web developer express 2008 to design a web site. The resolution on my laptop is 1600x900 and displays the site pages perfectly (www.mapleparkchicago.com). The issue is that when others veiw the page on the web they have to scroll to the right to see all of the content and some of the content seem to not be centered. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You should never design a site as wide as you have your laptop or desktop's resolution. That is far too wide. The standard for a long time has been to design for 800x600, but with CSS, you should be able to design a site that scales when the browser is made bigger, but still the base site should be 800x600 on average. Some develop for 1024x768, but that is their preference.

Jeff
