Youtube Won't Work, Advertisements are Empty, and I Cannot Download Anything

Thanks for reading my first post. This is a major problem. We took our computer to get a new hard drive and everything was still intact on the new one. The only thing was that I went to Youtube and the videos weren't playing. Then, MSN and other sites had no advertisements, when they usually do. Finally, I tried to download an Adobe update, and it failed to do so. I'm running Windows XP and Internet Explorer. What do I do! Help me!

I assume it is, but just to make sure, is the Adobe Flash Player installed?

Yes, I forgot to mention that I got new Java and Adobe Flash working. But yet these same applications work on other accounts on the computer I am using.

Normally I would've told you to download another browser, but since you say that you can't download anything, I guess that's not an option.

For the Youtube problem, see this long-running thread and see if it helps.

Finally, you can't be complaining about not having advertisements, surely ;)
